About the Analyst Group

The goal of the Analyst Group is to increase the civic engagement movement’s impact through collective learning. Analyst Group members have full access to key Analyst Institute services, like our research and data-driven guidance for program planning, resource allocation, and strategic and tactical decision-making.

Who’s in the Analyst Group?

Whether you’re working to strengthen campaigns, advance policies, or increase civic participation and agency in your community, we want to help you achieve your goals. We welcome strategists, issue and community advocates, and civic engagement organization staff, interns and fellows with organizational emails, donors and philanthropic institutions, and research professionals.

With few exceptions, we require members to work full-time in, or fund,the civic engagement community.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept volunteers, students, or members of the media.

Analyst Group Agreements

Material shared with the Analyst Group is for Analyst Group members only.
1. Do not share Analyst Institute or partners’ research or recommendations outside of the Analyst Group without express permission. This includes summarizing, referring to specific results, or using graphs/visualizations in external materials.
2. Be especially diligent about not sharing our community learnings with Republican or conservative consultants, candidates, or operatives.
3. Do not data mine, scrape, or otherwise gather information from Analyst Institute’s website for use in other platforms or systems. Do not copy/paste or upload Analyst Institute or partners’ research or recommendations into artificial intelligence or machine learning systems, as this information could add to training data sets that eventually expose our best practices to the public.
4. All members must comply with our Confidentiality Policy.
Within the Analyst Group, all members are encouraged to share their learnings with one another openly, respectfully, and often.
1. All members have unique insights and perspectives that can benefit the group. We encourage practitioners, researchers, and donors to actively engage at events, ask questions, share ideas, provide feedback, and contribute your research, when possible.
2. When sharing information with the group, remember these spaces are for learning, not selling products and services.
3. We invite open discussion about problems and methodological weaknesses in research, alongside null and negative results, because naming and addressing these challenges makes us stronger.
